Irepress - H.A.V.O.C (Hear a Voice of Chaos)

Irepress (pronounced ear-press) is a 5-piece self-proclaimed disco metal band from Sharon, Massachusetts, U.S.A. They began in 1997 as a very heavy six-piece sludge metal band fronted by two alternating vocalists, Jarrett and Shomik, who switched between growling, singing, and screaming. They released a full-length, H.A.V.O.C., and an untitled 3-song demo referred to as Ghrintoure Be in 2001. After losing both vocalists due to college and other differences, Irepress has progressed towards a far different sound. As an instrumental band, their sound could be described as a sludge and post-rock -influenced brand of progressive rock. In 2005, they released an 8-song LP, Samus Octology. Jarrett has since rejoined the band. Their current line-up is Jarrett, Benji, Shan, Sheel, and Dino, and in 2009 they released Sol Eye Sea I

Irepress - Ghrintoure be Nine Snow EP

Irepress is a five-piece instrumental rock / metal band from Sharon, Massachusetts. Associated with the Boston music scene, Irepress have been together since high school, and remain a band to this day. Their unique and complex sound fuses elements of dance, metal, sludge, and electronica. Due to their strong cross-genre style, Irepress has been able to share the stage with such diverse groups and artists as: Isis, Masta Killa (Wu-Tang Clan), Gym Class Heroes,Immortal Technique, Kool Keith, Hatebreed, Prefuse 73, Zombi, Inspectah Deck, Sworn Enemy,Non Phixion, Dalek, God Forbid, Shadows Fall, RA the Rugged Man, One King Down, Killa Priest, The Receiving End of Sirens, As Tall as Lions, Ill Bill, Kayo Dot, Cartel, Unearth,Battlefields, Caspian, Bad Rabbits, and many more. Recently, they put out a new single called "Shaolin Knight's w/ front man Jesse Korman(The Number Twelve Looks Like You) contributing vocals to this track.

De donde viene el nombre Dolia?

La pareidolia es un fenómeno psicológico
consistente en que un estímulo vago y aleatorio (habitualmente una
imagen) es percibido erróneamente como una forma reconocible. Una
explicación de este fenómeno conforme al funcionamiento del cerebro, es
descrito por Jeff Hawkins en su teoría de memoria-predicción.

El carácter aparentemente sagrado de determinados sitios arqueológicos, podría ser explicado en parte, con:

El fenómeno psicológico conocido como hierofanía, generalmente asociado a las experiencias religiosas.

El fenómeno psicológico conocido como pareidolia —perceptivo, no necesariamente patológico— utilizado en la exploración psicológica (test de Rorschach).

Ejemplos comunes de la pareidolia son:


Visión de animales o rostros en la forma de las nubes.

Visión de rostros en las cimas de algunos cerros pedregosos

Visión de rostros en la parte delantera o trasera de un vehículo
(los faros representarian los ojos, la parrilla la boca y el parabrisas

Imágenes de rostros en aparatos (en la imagen), edificios, etc

Visión de personas o siluetas en el pavimento.

Audición de mensajes reconocibles en grabaciones en idiomas
desconocidos o reproducidas al revés.

Avistamientos de ovnis, críptidos, fantasmas
